Explanation — 

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) is an initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Launched in January 2020, it acts as a national nodal point to coordinate law enforcement agencies, facilitate cyber-crime complaints, analyse trends, provide early warnings, and raise public awareness on cyber-safety. 

Explanation — 

• India accounts for over 20% of global anthropogenic SO₂ emissions, largely from coal-fired power plants.
• SO₂ irritates respiratory airways, triggers asthma and bronchitis, and reacts in the atmosphere to form fine particulates (PM2.5) linked to heart and lung disease.
• It also dissolves in rainwater to form acid rain, which degrades soils, aquatic ecosystems, and vegetation.
• Emissions have shown declines in several regions due to stricter controls and plant upgrades, though hotspots remain.

Explanation — 

Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra centres, established by ALIMCO under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, offer end-to-end services for persons with disabilities and senior citizens. They distribute assistive devices (tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, artificial limbs) free under the ADIP Scheme and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana. To date, devices valued at over ₹179.15 lakh have reached more than 1.40 lakh beneficiaries. 

Explanation — 

• Releaser pheromones trigger immediate behavioural responses (e.g., alarm calls, mating signals).
• Primer pheromones induce slower, hormonal changes (e.g., synchronising reproductive cycles).
• The vomeronasal organ in many vertebrates (mammals, reptiles) specializes in pheromone detection.
• Pheromones are found across animals, and also in fungi, slime molds and some plants — they are not exclusive to animals.

Explanation — 

The Jhelum River’s source, the Verinag Spring, lies in the Indian union territory of Jammu & Kashmir. It flows through Wular Lake, carves a deep gorge below Srinagar, and eventually joins the Indus. It does not originate in China.
